Frequently Asked Questions
What is a “Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant”? Why should I work with one?
A Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) is someone who is authorized to provide Canadian immigration and citizenship advice and/or representation for a fee. They must be either a member in good standing with their regulatory body, the College of Citizenship and Immigration Consultants (CICC), or a member of a Canadian law society/Chambre des notaires du Québec.
Rachael is an RCIC in good standing with CICC.
RCIC’s can explain immigration and citizenship options and help a client to choose the best course based on their goals; fill out and submit applications on a client’s behalf; and communicate with the Government of Canada on the client’s behalf.
RCIC’s are required by law to graduate from a specialized Canadian immigration law training program, and as such, they have the knowledge and training required to tackle difficult legal applications, and navigate the complexities of the Canadian immigration system. They must continually update their immigration knowledge by participating in continuing professional development, and must adhere to a strict set of professional conduct rules, as established by CICC.
What are your fees?
Our service fees vary, depending on the type and complexity of the application. Most cases are not as simple and straightforward as we may wish, or as they may appear at the outset. We would be happy to give you a more exact quote following an initial consultation, once we know more about your unique case and goals. There is no obligation to proceed with any service following an initial consultation.
Can you guarantee a positive result?
No. All applications are subject to final review and decision making by the officials at Immigration, Citizenship and Refugees Canada (IRCC).
However, we can guarantee to provide honest and straightforward advice, and to put forward an application for submission that we feel confident in, which has been crafted thoroughly and carefully, in accordance with IRCC’s requirements. We approach the working relationship with our clients as an equal partnership, and treat each application with the same sincerity and care as we would if it were our own.
So, how do I get started?
The best first step is to contact us via our website, and book an initial consultation. An initial consultation allows us to meet, learn more about your situation, have your questions addressed, and make a plan for moving ahead in the way that best suits your needs.
If you have already drafted an immigration application for your own submission, and only wish to have your application reviewed by an RCIC in an Application Review, please reach out via our website, and we will be in touch to discuss further.
